The 1TouchSoftware Point-of-Sale (POS) module is a full-featured solution that supports quick-service and fine-dining. 1Touch.pos uses non-proprietary off-the-shelf terminals running standard WindowsXP or Windows 2000 operating systems. 1Touch.pos is capable of running at any screen size and resolution. Our commitment to open architecture allows customers to choose their own POS terminal hardware for the fastest and most efficient restaurant operations.

1Touch.pos includes features for all staff in the restaurant to process checks, print orders and manage kitchen prep-stations. Many additional technical advantages included in the system -- not available from any competitors -- make 1Touch.pos more than just a guest check calculator. For managers, the POS system module provides the ability to see a snapshot of real-time operational statistics, including open check values by table, current employee salary burn rate, table turn status (color coding of checks that have been open for less and longer than 60 minutes), total checks for the day, and other key operational and performance data.
The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) features of the POS system module display information explicitly provided by the customer as well as information gathered from the customer’s interactions with your restaurant(s). For example, by pressing and holding a table icon or by double tapping a check, waiters and managers can see customer preferences, allergies, historical spending, and other key customer data that can help up-sell and cross sell a customer. In addition, the POS system module supports advanced search capabilities, including search by alpha, BIN number, or SKU if your restaurant is also selling retail items.

How is this achieved? 1Touch.pos leverages the eRMS architecture to continuously synchronize its transaction data with our central data server over any standard network, including the Internet. This real-time synchronization allows the system to function without the need for costly on-site file servers, eliminating costs associated with hardware and the hassles of requiring IT resources to maintain and upgrade your mission-critical POS server at each restaurant location.

Because 1Touch.pos is continually transmitting data to the hosting facility, your restaurants achieve real-time data redundancy and backups. In the case of an unexpected hardware failure, no data is lost, and your POS continues to function normally without interruption.

What happens if the Internet goes down? The 1TouchSoftware eRMS architecture was developed with this in mind. In the event the Internet connection is lost, one of the 1Touch.pos stations takes on the responsibilities of a server to allow your restaurant to run uninterrupted. Once the connection is reestablished, all data is synchronized. This happens transparently and neither you nor your staff will ever know it happened.
